About Rosewood Restorations

Patrick Mahoney, Master Carpenter/Cabinetmaker

PTM Article

Patrick Mahoney began his career as a carpenter when he apprenticed with master carpenter, Gary Alexander in 1980 in Ojai, California.  For over a period of 33 years, Patrick progressed from carpenter’s apprentice to master carpenter specializing in high-end finish work and cabinetmaking. Along the way, he became involved with many restoration projects ranging from period homes to furniture and antiques.

Upon moving to Columbia, South Carolina in 2003, Mr. Mahoney began to concentrate more on restoration and repair of historic homes and furnishings. His finished projects are most often invisible, because they resemble the original in every aspect. Only by observing the process will the observer know, that the object has been repaired.

Originally trained as a fine-art painter, Mr. Mahoney has a keen eye for detail, proportion and historical accuracy, and he brings more than 30 years experience to your project and has a reputation for uncompromising quality and integrity.

If you want the best person to create, repair or restore your home or furnishings, go with Rosewood Restorations.
